Episode ’78 brought Space Invaders to Japan
Written by Administrator on April 7, 2007 – 10:20 pm -The Space Invaders release in Japan was huge. How huge? Well, the Japanese Government had to quadruple the 100 yen coin amount due to the influx of people playing the game. This game probably is one of the reasons for the continuous love of arcades in Japan. America on the other hand still has arcades but are falling to the wayside thanks to the home console and now with online play.
For me, I am feeling good. I have classes only 3 days a week but a lot of homework. Other than that, I feel shame for not completing my GDC things. I will work on that Monday.
For videos, I have one super interesting video about the Betamax that came from TV in Japan. My other video is a Eulogy given by John Cleese for himself. Great videos.
